I ride the fireflies ride to raise money and awareness for leuka. When I first rode in 2007 it was because of seeing a massive flow of red riders ride in to Cannes year after year. I thought, I’ve got to be a part of that, these guys are amazing. I ride now after subsequently finding that somebody very close to my family has leukaemia.
I’ve always loved cycling and I now have the honour of riding with an incredible group of people who put themselves through hell so others don’t have to suffer.
I’m hoping that there aren’t ice storms on the galibier again. Still, I’m keeping the hair on my legs and face to keep warm. Shaving is for girls.
