Day 2 – Talloires to Val Disere, 125KM

Only 125KM’s today you say? But a massive 3900m of climbing to be done. Today we finished 1800m higher than we started. Twice the height of Ben Nevis.

Today started on the side of the lake in Talloires and big team photo. Then after a couple of tough small climbs (10km and 6km each) we climbed the beautiful Cormet De Roselend. An amazing 21km climb. Taking us through lush Alpine Forest and then onto the mountain top. It’s truly one of the best climbs in the Alps, the climb that we all start to feel that we’re here and doing something really special.

It was a tough day with low overhanging clouds and some heavy rain. Getting to the end was a great achievement for everyone and we have all enjoyed a well deserved drink :)
