One last climb and then a ambling descent down to the coast. Through Monaco and around the Formula 1 circuit, all of buzzing, pretending to be racing cars as we careered through the famous tunnel and into the port.

Then a wonderful lunch on the beach, where as a family we celebrated our time together, before our grand entry in Cannes!

A massive 100 miler with over 4000m of climbing, but 4800m of descent! A hard day with 3 climbs; the Col du Bonette (Europe’s highest road pass), The Col Saint Martin and to finish a group ascent of the Col de Turini.

For many of us Today was the best day. Beautiful weather, a challenging ride, the group ascent of Turini and then the descent, in the dark, of the mountain guided by the Fireflies that gave the tour it’s name. A magical moment that we shared with each other and will probably never forget.

A great day and the best way to finish a wonderous time in the Alps.

The first day that we experienced a bit of sun and fun. It was great to able to get to the top of the mountain and cheer the rest of the ‘flies to the top. The hard days that we had experienced up till then evaporated in the warm sun and we felt truly together as one.
